Three Asian countries have made it into the list of National Geographic’s breathtaking places to visit in 2023. The 25 locations, chosen for their "wonder, rewarding to travelers of all ages, and supportive of local communities and ecosystems," are framed under the five categories of Community, Nature, Culture, Family and Adventure. The first Asian location mentioned in the National Geographic list is Laos, a country in Southeast Asia known for its amazing views and unexplored lands.

JCS selected for Non-Profit Novo Award presented by the Greater Miami Chamber
The NOVO Awards, hosted by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, honors nonprofits in Miami-Dade County that have demonstrated innovative excellence and feature best non-profit business practices. Awardees are selected by The NOVO Awards Task Force and announced at Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Trustee Luncheon on Sept. 7. “At JCS, ‘Community’ is our middle name, and we are privileged to have served our community for over 102 years,” said JCS Board chair Scott Singer. Our JCS team is grateful for the gracious recognition by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. “We are humbled and grateful to have been selected by our chamber as a 2022 NOVO Award recipient,” said JCS president and CEO Miriam Singer.
