FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Flip flops are a must-have staple in South Florida. They’re also a cool and unique fundraising tool.
On Apr. 25, Galleria Fort Lauderdale will host the 21st annual “Flip Flops on the Boardwalk,” presented by The Daly Family. The fundraiser will be held at Lauderdale Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale and benefits the Jack & Jill Center.
“Our goal is to help ensure brighter futures for the children and families served by Jack & Jill Center,” said Event Co-Chairs Lauren Atlass, Rebecca Baughman, Kristi Quarles and Jennifer Swercheck.
Voted the Best Nonprofit Fundraiser by Fort Lauderdale Magazine for three years, it’s Jack & Jill’s signature, largest and most popular event. It will feature vintage boardwalk-inspired décor, interactive carnival style experiences, and live music by Les Greene & The Swayzees.
It will offer panoramic Intracoastal views and specialty food stations, along with live and silent auctions. The money raised will provide innovative education and support programming for every child to reach their full potential.
Since 1942, Jack & Jill Center has served more than 30,000 children and families in South Florida. It’s located at 1315 West Broward Blvd in Fort Lauderdale.
Flip Flops on The Boardwalk will run from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. For more information, visit FlipFlopsonthedocks.com.
