DANIA BEACH, Fla. — After staying up late to listen to The Life of a Showgirl, South Florida fans lined up at theaters for the limited release of Taylor Swift’s cinematic event, celebrating the companion visuals for her 12th studio album.

Within the film, Swift shares the genesis of her songs, behind-the-scenes footage, and never-before-seen moments and commentary.

Local 10’s Jason Carter added: “South Florida has the best Taylor fans who are really treating this release as a holiday, calling in sick to work, listening to the album on repeat, spending hours trying to decode the Easter eggs, really taking in this new era.”

“I’ve been a fan since 14,” one fan said at a movie theater in Dania Pointe.

Another added, “As she grows older, I feel like she evolves with each era, and it’s a pleasure honestly to watch her evolve. And now she owns her whole catalog of course as she should, and it’s a great lesson for women empowerment. Like it shows us that we can do anything, so Taylor for president.”

The film runs an hour and a half and will be in theaters through Sunday.
