Several streets close for 2-day III Point Music Festival in Miami’s Wynwood: Police

MIAMI — Several streets will be closed for the III Point Music Festival, which has 12 stages and over 150 artists on Friday and Saturday in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.

The festival at Mana Wynwood, at 2217 NW 5 Ave., has designated areas for Bass, Rave, Techno, Avant-Pop, Electronic, Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Dance, Indie, Latin, and others. The schedule of sets is from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Miami police officers closed Northwest Sixth Avenue from 21 Terrace to 26 Street and from 21 Terrace westbound from Fifth to Sixth avenues from 9 a.m. on Friday to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Police officers also closed Northwest 23 Street westbound from Second to Fifth avenues and 22 Street westbound from Second Avenue to Fifth Place from 5 p.m. on Thursday to 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Admission tickets for Friday ranged from $164 to about $300. Admission tickets for Saturday were mostly sold out. The two-day admission tickets ranged from about $330 to $580. The festival’s organizers also offer table service and satellite parties.

The event organizers recommend that ticket holders use rideshare services at the drop-off and pick-up areas outside the festival at Sixth Avenue and 23rd Street.

Guards at the entrance with a TSA-style security search require ID and are on Northwest Sixth Avenue near 22 Street for general admission ticket holders and on Northwest 23 Street for VIP ticket holders.

Security will not allow non-clear bags bigger than 6 inches by 9 inches, drones, some costumes, aerosols, balls, frisbees, drugs, drug paraphernalia, gas masks, glass, cans, cups, coolers, laser pointers, air horns, markers, pens, spray paint, massagers, alcohol, food, over-the-counter medication, pets, recording equipment, lightsabers, light-up wands, stickers, flyers, umbrellas, tents, chairs, blankets, toy guns, water guns, slingshots, and weapons.

Security will allow clear bags that are smaller than 12 inches by 6 inches, and empty hydration packs with no more than two compartments. For more information about the festival’s security policies, visit this page.
