FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Kerry Meikle, a mother of five, said she watched her children suffer with rashes and irritation before she decided to revolutionize the diaper industry.

Meikle founded Arsahd, a premium diaper brand committed to protecting babies’ skin. She still remembers when her son woke up with painful rashes down his legs.

“Every part of this diaper was designed because of a story that I experienced,” Mekle said while holding her baby.

Meikle said her Arsahd diapers are made with care and designed to be free of chlorine, latex, fragrances, or lotions. She said she faced pushback.

“I don’t want the standard in the industry; I want what children deserve,” Meikle said.

To come up with her company name, Meikle said she decided to mix the initials of her children’s names. She said she also focused on quality.

“It truly holds liquid for up to 12 hours,” Miekle said. “It’s not a gimmick.”

Meikle has also nurtured partnerships with nonprofit organizations such as the Miami Diaper Bank as part of her commitment to help low-income moms.
