The Colonel has earned bragging rights in the nationwide chicken sandwich wars, according to KFC. Kentucky Fried Chicken’s new chicken sandwich sales have doubled, providing competition against Popeyes, McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A at the fast food drive-thru.

The CEO of KFC’s parent company Yum Brands said during a corporate earnings call on Wednesday, that sales are going so well that KFC is having trouble keeping up with demand. The sandwich is simple: quarter-pound of breaded and fried, white meat chicken breast on a brioche bun, topped with pickles and a choice of spicy sauce or mayo.
