White House appointee explains FIFA World Cup preparations in Miami-Dade

Trump appointee: FIFA World Cup fan festivals to be held in Miami Beach, not at stadium in Miami Gardens

White House task force director focuses on FIFA World Cup preparations in Miami-Dade

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — President Donald Trump’s appointee to lead the White House task force on the FIFA World Cup 2026 said he expects the matches at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami-Dade County will result in an economic output of at least $3 billion.

Andrew Giuliani, the son of Rudy Giuliani, also said that there is a federal coordination team at each of the 11 cities hosting the historic soccer games in the U.S., and the one in Miami-Dade is planning to host fan events in Miami Beach.

“If you come to the country legally, then you are welcome to come to the games,” Andrew Giuliani said. “If you haven’t, then there could be a security footprint that you will have to deal with.”

Andrew Giuliani said ticket holders around the world applying for a U.S. Visa can get a “FIFA pass” with a unique number to get priority.

There will be seven matches in Miami Gardens, including four group stage matches starting on June 15, and the Bronze Final on July 18.

Here is the list of group stage matches

  • June 15: Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay (Group H)
  • June 21: Uruguay vs. Cape Verde (Group H)
  • June 24: Brazil vs. Scotland (Group C)
