CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Another Buc-ee’s may be in the works, bringing beaver nuggets and brisket sandwiches to road trippers in Florida.
According to documents, more than 650 acres near I-75 in Charlotte County has been rezoned, causing speculation about plans to build another Buc-ee’s in the Sunshine State.
Charlotte County public records also show that roadway intersection improvements must be made to the area modifying I-75 ramps as well as widening parts of Harborview Road, near the proposed location.
A bid to widen the roads along I-75 in Ocala was made this June, to help facilitate another new Buc-ee’s location.
A Buc-ee’s on the Treasure Coast is also well on its way.
A final site plan application was submitted to St. Lucie County in January for the new Buc-ee’s location in the southeast corner of Indrio Road and I-95.
County records show the Buc-ee’s development on the Treasure Coast has been in the works since February 2024.
Last April, Gov. Ron DeSantis awarded $4 million to the Florida Department of Transportation to add a new interchange on I-75 in Marion County. The interchange in Ocala is another planned Buc-ee’s site.
The other Buc-ee’s locations in Florida are in St. Augustine, St. Lucie County, Daytona Beach and another site is Leon County.
