Florida gasoline prices increase past national average

AAA: Average price of diesel gas increases more than $1 in Florida

MIAMI — Florida’s average gasoline retail prices were higher than the national average on Monday, but still lower than the highest recorded average price in 2022, according to the nonprofit American Automobile Association.

On Monday, the national average had increased 36 cents in the last week, from nearly $3.11 to about $3.47. While in Florida, the average for regular unleaded had increased about 61 cents, from about $2.88 to $3.49, according to AAA’s report on retail prices.

The average price of mid-grade gas increased 62 cents from $3.33 last week to $3.95 on Monday. The average price of premium gas increased 60 cents from about $3.67 last week to $4.27.

The average price of diesel gas increased about $1.08 cents from $3.68 last week to about $4.76. Trucks, trains, and ships run on diesel, so this could prompt an increase in the prices of consumer goods and food.

SOUTH FLORIDA

In Miami, the average for regular unleaded increased about 56 cents from about $2.90 last week to $3.46 on Monday, according to AAA’s report on retail prices.

The average for mid-grade gas increased about 51 cents from about $3.34 last week to $3.85 on Monday.

The average for premium gas increased about 48 cents from about $3.61 last week to $4.09 on Monday.

The average for diesel increased about $1.07 from about $3.59 last week to $4.66 on Monday.

In Fort Lauderdale, the average for regular unleaded increased 60 cents from $2.92 last week to $3.52 on Monday, according to AAA’s report on retail prices.

The average for mid-grade gas increased about 57 cents from about $3.36 last week to about $3.93 on Monday.

The average for premium gas increased about 55 cents from $3.69 last week to about $4.24 on Monday.

The average for diesel increased about $1.06 from $3.64 last week to about $4.70 on Monday.
