Police: 10 migrants land at state park in Key West

KEY WEST, Fla. —

Police officers detained a group of 10 migrants after they landed on Thursday at the Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West.

Officers from the Key West Police Department and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded at about 9 a.m. on Thursday to the park at 601 Howard England Way.

The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection also responded to the park, a natural historic landmark with a pre-Civil War fortress.

The agencies seized the vessel, and CBP took custody of the migrants.
