SW Miami-Dade morning crash injures 1 adult, 4 juveniles after driver crashes into palm tree

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. — A one-car crash in Southwest Miami Dade sent 5 people to the hospital early Saturday morning.

Miami-Dade Police said they responded to a vehicle crash in the area of SW 128th Street and 137th Avenue. When Local 10 arrived at the scene, a 4-door Infiniti was wrecked and mangled after crashing into a palm tree.

According to police, 1 adult man and 4 juveniles were in the car. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the injured to Kendall Regional Medical Center and Jackson South Medical Center.

It is not clear what caused the crash. A large tree could be seen partially covering the roadway.

A Miami-Dade police spokesman said the investigation is preliminary and there is no further information available.
