Reporters wait for Biden to respond to Chauvin verdict

WASHINGTON – Reporters are waiting for President Joe Biden to speak on Tuesday afternoon from the White House.

The jury reached a verdict on the murder trial of former Officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd. The White House said Biden will be watching from the West Wing.

Earlier on Tuesday, Biden was promoting the American Jobs Plan, his $2 trillion infrastructure bill, during a virtual tour of the Proterra electric battery facility in South Carolina.
