AVENTURA, Fla. — There was a big police presence at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center Tuesday night after authorities were working to negotiate with a barricaded subject.
Police said they were able to get the person to surrender and the suspect was taken into custody.
The hospital was not evacuated during the ordeal and operations are resuming as normal.
Further details about what led to the person barricading themselves were not immediately released.
