NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who may have information that could help them find a man who attacked and robbed a mother shopping with her three children at a North Lauderdale grocery store last month.

The crime occurred around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Broward Meat and Fish Market near the 8000 block of West McNab Road.

Officials said the robber had pulled into the parking lot of the shopping plaza in a light-colored Nissan. The suspect approached the victim from behind, grabbing her chain necklace and punching her before fleeing.

Gerdy St. Louis, a BSO spokesperson, said Friday that deputies are looking for 20-year-old Lamya Marie Fuller.

“Through investigative methods, detectives located the Nissan and learned that (Fuller) had taken the car from a relative one day prior to the strong-armed robbery being committed,” St. Louis said. “Fuller is the last known person to have driven the vehicle, which is why investigators want to speak with her.”

According to detectives, Fuller also goes by the name of “Alexa Garter” and is known to stay at different motels.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Robert Sokol at 954-321-5018 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
