1 dead following shooting outside Metrorail station in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – A man was killed during a shooting on Tuesday outside of a Metrorail station in Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area just outside the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza station, at 6205 NW 27 Ave., in Gladeview at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found a man who had been shot.

Police officers in marked and unmarked cars responded and used crime scene tape to block an area near to where the Northbound Metrorail shuttle stops.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital as a trauma alert where he was later pronounced dead, according to Miami-Dade police.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the case to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 (TIPS).
