Good Samaritan stumbles upon 58 pounds of hashish in Florida Keys

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – U.S. Border Patrol agents seized 58 pounds of hashish over the weekend after a Good Samaritan stumbled upon the drugs in the Florida Keys, Chief Patrol Agent Walter N. Slosar, who leads the agency’s Miami sector, confirmed Monday.

According to Slosar, the drugs have an estimated street value of about $260,000.

He did not disclose where exactly the drugs were discovered or whether authorities have any idea where they originated from.
