POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Broward County deputies arrested a soldier in the U.S. Army National Guard Wednesday following an investigation they say stemmed from a report that he livestreamed himself sexually abusing a girl.
According to the report, the livestreamed abuse appears to have taken place on a military base out-of-state. A Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest report doesn’t specify the age of the alleged victim.

Authorities said video chat app Bam Bam tipped off the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to the livestream on Oct. 17, leading investigators to Ketrick Freeman.
In the arrest report, detectives said they discovered child sexual abuse material on Freeman’s electronic devices after they served a search warrant at his Pompano Beach home Wednesday.
A BSO detective wrote that the 27-year-old had “dozens” of files on his iPhone largely depicting young girls, some of whom were as young as 5, being raped or otherwise sexually abused.
The report states that Freeman told detectives that he was on active duty and stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado during the time of the alleged livestream.
Deputies arrested him on 11 child pornography charges in connection with the files they said they found on his phone.
According to BSO, a federal investigation remained ongoing as of Wednesday, but detectives expect that Freeman will face additional charges.
Freeman was being held in the BSO Main Jail on a $110,000 bond, according to jail records.
