PALMETTO BAY, Fla. – Newly released video shows the moments a bank robbery suspect was stopped in his tracks and taken down by police officers.
The crime happened Saturday morning at the TD Bank branch located at 14395 S. Dixie Highway in Palmetto Bay.
Police from several agencies, including Miami-Dade police, Pinecrest police, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force and even the FBI took part in the manhunt for this suspect.
The FBI said that man had walked into the TD bank demanding money from a bank employee.
Shortly after, police managed to spot that suspect’s vehicle, which had been described by neighbors as a black sedan.
The vehicle crashed into the yard of a home near Southwest 128th Street and 71st Avenue.
Neighbors who spoke to Local 10 News said the man then attempted to run, but police tackled him shortly after.
The suspect has yet to be identified by authorities.
