Coconut Creek cops seek women seen stuffing pricey perfume up their skirts at Sephora

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Police said two women operated like a “NASCAR pit crew” at a Coconut Creek Sephora store, but this pit crew was clad in long skirts — and not as a fashion statement.

Instead, they used the flowing skirts to conceal an expensive steal: more than $1,000 worth of perfume.

They were seen on video stuffing six boxes of the perfume up and down their skirts at the store in late November at the Promenade at Coconut Creek, located at 4455 Lyons Road.

“They’re very fast, very efficient,” Coconut Creek Police Department spokesperson Scotty Leamon said. “And (they) know exactly what they’re doing.”

Leamon called the pair “very selective” and said they “know exactly what they want.”

And, he added, “it ain’t cheap.”

Police explained how the boxes didn’t fall.

“They’re either wearing some type of leggings or they made something underneath their skirts to hold these boxes because they stuffed a lot of boxes down their skirts and managed to hold them to walk out,” CCPD Detective Shana Conley said. “I think they’ve done it before and they’ve been successful, that’s why they continue to do it and they may be even out there now doing the same thing.”

Police asked anyone who may recognize the women from the surveillance video to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
