MIAMI — A special 5K was held on Sunday morning at Tropical Park in Miami.
The Miami Joy Project hosted Superhero Miles, an event where runners dressed up as their favorite superheroes.
Organizers said the event was to support children with special needs and medically complex conditions.
Participants were able to collect superhero costume pieces along the 5K path, with capes, masks, gloves and other items helping to transform the runners into costumed heroes.
