PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — A cold and calculated criminal broke into a Pembroke Pines home during the holidays, making off with thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry.

For the victim, the items that were stolen represent much more than just a price tag.

It happened on Saturday, Dec. 23. inside a gated development in Pembroke Pines.

“I heard my mom, I see she’s screaming, they took everything,” said one of the victims, who did not want to be identified. “My mom is on the floor crying, screaming.”

The victim added, “They didn’t take anything else, they just took the jewelry.”

The family is now living in fear, but they holding out hope that they can somehow get their items back.

“We are just hoping that someone will help out and get back theses sentimental items,” the victim said.
