MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed Tuesday that crews were searching the waters off Haulover Beach after receiving a report about an overturned boat.
According to fire rescue officials, the call was received at 10:49 a.m.
Fire rescue boats and an air rescue unit were in the area, searching for the boat and any possible victims, but it was later determined that was call was unfounded.
No other details were immediately released regarding why the caller believed they had seen an overturned boat.
