KEY LARGO, Fla. – An Islamorada man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after being arrested for driving under the influence for the seventh time, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
John Patrick Allen, listed in jail records as a bartender, was arrested Thursday.

MCSO spokesperson Adam Linhardt said deputies responded to the 99000 block of the Overseas Highway in Key Largo at around 8:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a reckless driver.
Allen, 51, struck a curb and damaged his Honda SUV, Linhardt said. He was taken into custody.
He was being held in MCSO’s Key West jail facility as of Friday morning, according to online records.
