Navy releases photo of sailor from Miami-Dade after Indo-Pacific deployment

MIAMI – The U.S. Navy released a photograph on Thursday showing a Miami-Dade County man’s recent family reunion after he returned from a four-month deployment.

The photo by U.S. Navy Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Tyler R. Fraser shows Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Chris Lorey hugging his daughter.

Frasher captured the image on Feb. 23, when Lorey returned to the Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California, after his deployment to the Indo-Pacific region.

Lorey departed the station in the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, a flagship of Carrier Strike Group 1, on Oct. 12, 2023, for maritime exercises in the Philippine Sea and South China Sea.
