Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Tarra Marla McIntosh, 43, on Thursday. An arrest report states that the teacher once taught her child.

The report states that the teacher was assisting with after-school dismissal at around 2:50 p.m. when McIntosh pulled up in her Nissan sedan, got out, “charged at her” and then hit her multiple times in the face.

Authorities said someone was able to capture a photo of McIntosh’s license plate before she left the scene.

According to the arrest report, the teacher told deputies she had had multiple parent-teacher conferences with her over the year.

A judge, after finding probable cause to charge McIntosh with a third-degree felony count of battery on a public or private education employee, ordered her to have no contact with the victim and to stay away from the Dania Elementary School campus.

She was no longer listed in Broward jail records as of Monday.
