Police: Man shot in Brownsville, his condition is critical

BROWNSVILLE, Fla. — A man was wounded during a shooting on Saturday night in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville neighborhood. His condition was critical.

Miami-Dade police officers responded to a Shot Spotter alert near Northwest 51 Terrace and 26 Avenue, just east of the Brownsville Metrorail Station.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took a man who was wounded to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

The shooting was west of the headquarters of the Circle of Brotherhood’s education center. The nonprofit organization recognized by the White House advocates against gun violence.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
