According to an arrest report, KidneySPA, located at 1401 SW First St., hired Orozco in August. Her responsibilities, police said, included “preparing timely financial reports, reporting variances, overseeing accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, analyzing financial data, preparing income statements and managing financial transactions.”

Police said on Monday, KidneySPA’s chief financial officer became suspicious over a $6,583 invoice to Fresenius Medical Care, a dialysis supply company.

The arrest report states that he uncovered that the invoice wasn’t going to Fresenius, but was instead going to Orozco’s bank account.

Police said Orozco sent herself $122,288 using the fake invoices.

Authorities took her into custody at her employer Tuesday; they redacted an alleged confession from the arrest report.

Orozco faces first-degree felony counts of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, as well as 27 counts of making false entries in the books of a business entity, a third-degree felony charge.

According to jail records, the Ecuadorian national was being held on a $67,500 bond as of Wednesday afternoon.
