MIAMI – A joint investigation by Miami and Miami Beach police into child sexual abuse material uncovered horrifying messages on a 66-year-old man’s phone, according to police.

On Tuesday, police arrested the suspect, Ramon Muguercia, at his home at a senior apartment complex in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood.

Police said a tip from Facebook that Muguercia had received child sexual abuse material on the platform, specifically, that of an 8-to-10-year-old boy being raped, spurred their investigation.

An arrest report states that led to Facebook deactivating his account; he claimed not to recall watching the video and denied seeking to buy videos.

Police said they then looked at his cellphone.

According to the arrest report, that search revealed that Muguercia “messaged numerous individuals asking them to produce sexual acts on children in exchange for money.”

“Muguercia was shown the chats and confirmed that he was contacting random individuals via Facebook and then moving over to WhatsApp, with the intention of receiving child pornography,” police wrote.

Those chats, all in Spanish, include a WhatsApp chat where he promised to send a man named “Alexander” $30 for videos, police said,

According to the report, “Alexander” told Muguercia that he had children aged 6, 7 and 10 and sent Muguercia a photo of a 2-year-old boy’s penis.

After receiving the photo, Muguercia encouraged “Alexander” to rape the boy, police said.

In a Facebook Messenger chat, police said Muguercia told a man named “Juank” to “send me a video of you f---ing a little boy.”

“When you send me the money, love,” police said “Juank” replied.

Police said Muguercia then asked, “We’re going to talk about the children, how old are they?”

“I want them small,” Muguercia said, expressing a desire to see the victims bleed after being sexually assaulted, the report states.

“Yes sir, they are small,” police said “Juank” replied.

Authorities said they found several photos of Western Union receipts on Muguercia’s phone.

Muguercia, a Cuban national, is facing charges of possessing and promoting a sexual performance by a child.

He was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $30,000 bond as of Wednesday.
