Family seeks justice after motorcyclist killed in Broward hit-and-run crash

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A family is pleading for someone to come forward after their loved one was fatally struck by a car while he was riding his motorcycle in Broward County last month.

Detectives, along with the family of 57-year-old Clifford Jackson, are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in apprehending the perpetrator.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies say Jackson was struck at the intersection of Southwest 10th Street and South Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach on March 11.

Detectives told Local 10 News they have gathered some leads that are gradually guiding them towards finding the suspected driver.

Authorities suspect the vehicle involved in the incident was a silver 2016-2019 Hyundai Elantra with noticeable damage to its passenger side.

BSO identified the culprit’s vehicle through a paint scratch and remnants left at the scene, including identifiable car parts, one of which bore a serial number.

One of Jackson’s sons expressed his hope that the individual responsible for the tragedy will step forward.

“The only thing I can ask is relieve yourself of this burden now. He has passed; this is now a homicide. This is not a game. As a family, we are all seeking closure,” said Ceasar Jackson.

Despite receiving several tips, authorities have yet to make an arrest.

Anyone with more information is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
