Police: Girl, 12, found safe after vanishing in Orlando

MIAMI — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled a Missing Child Alert Monday for a 12-year-old girl who they said vanished in Orlando.

According to authorities, Makiya Cole was found safe, but they did not immediately disclose where she was located or what she had been doing during the time she was reported missing.

Police said Makiya was reported missing over the weekend after last being seen Saturday on Colyer Street wearing a black bonnet, blue jeans, a black shirt, and black and white shoes.
