Miami-Dade man wins $1 million prize playing Lottery scratch-off game.

HIALEAH, Fla. — A lucky person won a $1 million prize in Miami-Dade County this week after playing a lottery scratch-off game, Lottery officials announced Friday.

Miguel Villavicencio, 59, of Hialeah, claimed his $1 million prize this week after playing the “$1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular” scratch-off game.

According to Lottery officials, Villavicencio chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $685,000.

He purchased the scratch-off ticket at Las Cuatro Hermanas Supermarket, located at 810 E. 41st St. in Hialeah.

The store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

“The $5 Gold Rush Doubler Scratch-Off game features more than $188 million in cash prizes, including 28 top prizes of $1 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.98,” the Florida Lottery confirmed in a press release.
