HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Hollywood police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning inside a gated community.
According to police, the shooting was reported at about 1:50 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of South Park Road.
Officers arrived at the scene and found one person who had been shot.
The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he or she is being treated for injuries.
Police confirmed that officers detained a possible suspect, and said the shooting appears to be domestic in nature.
Weapons at the scene were also confiscated as evidence, authorities said.
No other details were immediately released.
