Children among injured during fire in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Children were among the injured during a fire on Tuesday morning in northwestern Miami-Dade County.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, two children and an adult suffered smoke inhalation during a house fire in Brownsville, near Allapattah.

6 p.m. report:

A man who is a neighbor said in Spanish that the fire had affected a family that lived in a unit at a one-story gray house at Northwest 41 Street, near 23 Court.

Fire rescue personnel took the three injured to a nearby hospital. An investigator with MDFR questioned a man who was wearing a red T-shirt.

The county’s active calls record showed fire rescue personnel responded shortly after 8:45 a.m., and there were nine units at work at 9:35 a.m.

Deputies and a Red Cross team were also at the home at about 10:35 a.m. There was damage near the entrance of the until Tuesday afternoon.
