As part of a plea deal, Enreeka Nalasco, 35, pled guilty to human trafficking of a minor, lewd and lascivious activity with a victim under 16 and lewd and lascivious battery.
Nalasco must serve at least 15 years of his sentence followed by 20 years of sexual predator probation.
He is not allowed to use social media and is not permitted to have any contact with any of the victims who ranged in age from 12 to 16.
“Everything he has done, not only to me, but all of us little girls, he does not deserve to get out,” one of the victims said in a statement read in court by the state.
Nalasco apologized to his victims at his sentencing hearing.
“I take accountability and apologize to everyone I hurt,” he said. “I’m sorry. I hope they can forgive me.”
According to an arrest report from May 2022, Nalasco provided drugs and vape pens to female students at Nautilus Middle School in Miami Beach in exchange for cash or sexual favors.
The report states that Nalasco was a former substitute teacher at Miami Beach Senior High School, but he was fired after an internal investigation in 2018 revealed that he had inappropriately contacted a student via social media.
Authorities said they were first alerted about the latest accusations against Nalasco in March of 2022.
According to the arrest report, several students told police that Nalasco, known to them as “Swaggy,” befriended them on Snapchat and began selling them vape pens, marijuana, marijuana cards and nicotine.
The students told Miami-Dade Schools Police that Nalasco would accept sexual favors or cash for payment.
Although some of the girls refused Nalasco’s advances, Nalasco sexually battered at least one 12-year-old student, received nude photos from a student and sent another student a video of him masturbating, authorities said.
As of Monday morning, Nalasco was being held at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center.
Neither the victims nor their families attended the hearing, though prosecutors say they were informed of the terms of Nalasco’s plea deal.
Had he gone to trial and been convicted, Nalasco could have faced a life sentence.
