Florida tops national rankings for best states in U.S., according to report

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The state of Florida has earned top marks, when it comes to the best states in the country, according to a report.

According to U.S. News & World Report, rankings for the best state 2025 are decided across eight categories which include health care, education, natural environment, opportunity, economy, crime and corrections, infrastructure and fiscal stability.

Florida earned the number six spot on the list. In the top five were:

1. Utah
2. New Hampshire
3. Idaho
4. Minnesota
5. Nebraska
6. Florida

According to the survey, education was an important factor in top rankings as well as health care.
