Dean Post was arrested last year on charges of occupied burglary, unoccupied burglary, theft and probation violation.

Police said Post burglarized the same victim’s home, which was located along the 5900 block of Southwest 85th Street in South Miami, multiple times between April 15 and June 17 of last year.

Authorities at the time said they recognized Post from a prior arrest in 2023 for voyeurism, which is why he was on probation at the time of the burglaries.

On Monday, per the plea agreement, Post was sentenced to 366 days in state prison, with credit for time served, in addition to four years of reporting probation with a required ankle monitor for the first year. The plea deal was reached for cases stemming from both 2023 and 2024.

When he is released from prison, Post must stay away from the victims and their homes, and he also must attend a treatment program and be employed.
