Deputies found the teen’s attacker still armed with the pipe and identified him as Jose Rodriguez, according to an arrest report in the case.
Rodriguez, 30, who had an active warrant for domestic violence, dropped the pipe, but he resisted arrest and spit at a lieutenant, according to the report.

Rodriguez faced charges of resisting an officer with violence to his person, battery on a police officer, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.
