SUNRISE, Fla. – Newly released body camera footage shows the moments Sunrise police arrested a man wanted for murder.
The crime happened around 1:37 a.m. on May 28th in a parking garage for The Retreat at Sunrise apartments.
Police said they arrived to find a bloody scene and a woman, identified as 28-year-old Hailey Hosford, stabbed to death. Her friend, Ian Bryant, who had also been stabbed, is who called the police.
According to investigators, the victims pulled into the parking garage and Bryant got out of the car and entered the building.
A minute later, police said Jackson Julian Sagesse approached the car with something shiny in his hand.
Police said Hosford left the car and quickly returned, but couldn’t get the door closed in time. Video shows Sagesse, 21, allegedly moving his arm in a stabbing motion multiple times.
Two minutes later, police said Bryant returned and got into a fight with Sagesse, who stabbed Bryant in the neck. He was able to get away and call the police.
Sagesse was found soon after inside a unit that police said he shares with his mother.
