FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A bruised woman said she waited five days to report domestic violence at the hands of a 21-year-old NFL player in Fort Lauderdale because “she felt bad” about hurting his career, but she changed her mind after talking to loved ones, police records show.

At the city’s police department headquarters, on Saturday, the woman reported Quinshon Judkins, an NFL rookie running back, was to blame for the bruises on her face, arm, and leg, according to a Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s arrest report.
“Oh wow! I can’t believe you. I am so done with you,” Judkins told the woman after they had arrived together at Fort Lauderdale International Airport and he read his text messages, according to the arrest report.
After they got into a rental Lamborghini, Judkins, who plays for the Cleveland Browns, punched her in the face and pulled over, so she got out of the car and called his mother, according to the arrest report.
The woman told police officers that she didn’t tell Judkins’s mother that he had punched her over the misunderstanding that she wanted to clarify, and she got back in the car’s back seat, according to police.
Judkins, a former Ohio State running back, “turned around while he was driving and struck her additional times ... she began to kick her feet,” a police officer wrote in the arrest report.
The woman reported Judkins parked the car at a Burger King, and she got out of the car again, but eventually decided to get back inside after telling him, “Don’t touch me again!”
A police officer arrested Judkins shortly before 1:40 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, at 525 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, and Broward County Sheriff’s Office correctional deputies booked him at the main jail, records show.
Judkins faced a charge of first-degree misdemeanor battery and refused to comment on the case when he was released on bond Sunday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Browns released a statement saying the team was gathering more information about the case. Judkins’s training camp starts on Friday.
