Miami Gardens police release sketches of attempted kidnapping suspects

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Gardens police are searching for three males who they said were involved in an attempted kidnapping last month.

On Tuesday, police released sketches of two of the suspects.

According to police, the attempted kidnapping was reported around 8:30 p.m. on June 28 in the 1300 block of Northwest 208th Street.

Police said a boy, whose age has not been released, told officers that he was running down his block when three unknown males called out to him from across the street and said they were going to kidnap him.

According to police, one of the males pulled out a zip tie and tried to restrain the boy’s hand, but the victim pushed and punched the male before running home.

Police said the victim wasn’t injured during the incident.

The suspects were described by police as three Black males, two appearing to be about 18 years old, and a third, who appeared to be about 30 years old. A sketch was not released for the eldest male.

Police said all three were last seen running eastbound from the area.
