MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies say they’ve arrested a third suspect in the October rape of a drugged teenage girl in the county’s Westchester area.
Deputies arrested 44-year-old Ricardo Rene Schaeffler on Tuesday. He joins Frank Jewett, 40, and Eryn Chabak, 26, in facing a sexual battery charge in connection with the case.
Court records show a fourth suspect, 57-year-old Everardo Perez, is facing charges of indecent exposure and interference with custody in connection with the case.
Jewett and Perez were arrested in January, while Chabak was arrested in April.

Deputies said the assault happened on Oct. 27, 2024 at Jewett’s home in the 9200 block of Southwest 36th Street.
According to arrest reports, Perez approached the 16-year-old, reported missing by her mother, asked her if she needed to use a charger, then brought her into the home and gave her drugs, then began masturbating in front of her, touching her and telling her she was an “angel sent from the heavens.”
The victim said she recalled being raped by Jewett while Chabak used a pink sex toy on her, arrest reports state.
Deputies said as they conducted “a security sweep for an unrelated incident,” they found the girl “nude and unconscious” in the presence of Schaeffler, “who was also nude.”
They said the victim was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where staff collected a rape kit.
Authorities said Schaeffler invoked his right to remain silent.
“He was advised that he was free to leave, pending the results of the victim’s rape kit‚” Schaeffler’s arrest report states.
Those results came back Jan. 16. Deputies said the victim, after being shown a photo of Schaeffler, “denied engaging in any types of sexual activities with him.”
Nevertheless, he would end up arrested on the sexual battery charge at MDSO’s Hammocks District station on Tuesday.
Schaeffler joined Chabak in being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Wednesday, jail records show.
As of Wednesday, Jewett was being held in the Pre-Trial Detention Center, while Perez was not listed in custody.
