Steven MacKrell. (FLPD)

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Ten years after his disappearance, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department continues to search for answers in the case of Steven MacKrell.

Authorities said MacKrell, who was 25 at the time, was reported missing from downtown Fort Lauderdale on July 30, 2015.

An initial investigation led detectives to surveillance footage showing what is believed to be the last known sighting of him at a gas station in Pompano Beach.

Investigators said MacKrell, now 35, may have had a confrontation with a man at the gas station before returning to his vehicle and leaving. He has not been seen since.

He was last known to be driving a white 2013 Ford Fusion with Florida license plate WJ70L.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about MacKrell’s disappearance to contact the Fort Lauderdale Police Department at 954-764-4357 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to answers in the case from Broward Crime Stoppers.
