MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash Thursday involving three vehicles.
According to deputies, the crash was reported at about 5:15 a.m. on Card Sound Road, about 8 miles south of U.S. 1.
Deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene. Paramedics pronounced two men dead at the scene and airlifted another man to a local hospital in critical condition.
MDSO Traffic Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.
No other details were immediately released about what led to the crash.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Card Sound Road will likely be closed for much of the day. Traffic in the area was being detoured onto U.S. 1. MCSO deputies advised drivers in the Keys to use the 18-Mile Stretch.
