HIALEAH, Fla. — Hialeah police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were discovered Tuesday afternoon inside an apartment unit.
According to police, the victims’ lifeless bodies were discovered around 12:30 p.m. at the Atlantico at Aquabella apartments, located at 11181 W. 35th Way.
Officer Scarlett Hernandez, a spokeswoman for the police department, told Local 10 Wednesday morning that the investigation remains ongoing.
No other details were immediately released.
Management at the apartment complex sent residents an email after the bodies were discovered, ensuring them that they were cooperating with the investigation and would provide them with updates as they came in.
“As some of you may be aware, there was an incident on the property earlier today that involved the presence of the Police Department,” the email read. “At this time, there is an ongoing investigation, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities. However, we have not yet received any official conclusions or reports.
“If you have questions or require further information, we encourage you to contact the local police department directly.
“Should we receive any updates that affect the community, we will communicate them accordingly.”
