DANIA BEACH, Fla. — Broward County deputies announced an arrest on Wednesday in connection with a body found near a Dania Beach canal the day prior.
Authorities said it was a murder ― and the suspect was the victim’s teenage brother.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the agency received a call at around 8 a.m. Tuesday reporting the body near Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road.
They said deputies found Kevin Dominique, 23, dead with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to BSO, deputies determined that Dominique’s 15-year-old brother “intentionally shot and killed” him at their home on Southwest Sixth Avenue, about a mile away from the scene, then drove his body to the wooded area and left it there.
Deputies have not identified the teen, who they said they took to the Juvenile Assessment Center on a first-degree murder charge.
