NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A man was rushed to the hospital after setting himself on fire Thursday afternoon.
It happened in North Miami Beach along Northeast 182nd Street.
Police were there to serve that man with a restraining order when they said he poured an accelerant on himself.
He then ignited the flames, causing the first responders to jump into action.
Officers quickly put out the fire, but they said the man still suffered severe burns.
He was taken by helicopter to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
