MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A 70-year-old Hialeah man accused of road rage in Sunny Isles Beach was at the Metrowest Detention Center on Monday afternoon, records show.
A man told police officers that he had stopped at a red light on Collins Avenue, and when the light turned green, he started honking his horn, according to police.
Ramon Martinez got out of his car, argued with the man in Spanish, and punched him in the face at 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 20, according to the police arrest report.
The man rear-ended Martinez’s car, and police officers arrested Martinez at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Collins Avenue and 191 Street, according to the police report.
Miami-Dade County inmate records show correctional deputies booked Martinez shortly after 9:10 p.m. on Sept. 20.
Martinez, also known as Ramon Adalberto Martinez Gonzalez, faced a felony charge of burglary with assault of battery. He appeared in court on Sunday and was denied bond.
