Pair of Lauderhill police civilian employees arrested

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — Lauderhill police announced two arrests in connection to an internal time theft investigation.

Officials said Demesha Moore and Eunique Gibbons, who worked in the department’s property and evidence division, falsified timesheets.

Together, police said they collected over $37,000 for hours they didn’t work.

According to an arrest report, keycard, city vehicle GPS and license plate reader evidence indicated that Gibbons and Moore, her supervisor, would “clock each other in and out.”

Both were recently booked into the Broward County Jail.

The case is currently being reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office.
