MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday morning car crash in Miami Springs that left a woman dead, authorities confirmed.
According to MDSO, the crash was reported in the area of Northwest 42nd Avenue and 36th Street.
At least three vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.
A Local 10 News photojournalist was at the scene as a yellow tarp covered the victim’s body on the ground.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed one victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert.
MDSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives have taken the lead on the death investigation, authorities confirmed.
The identities of the those involved the crash have not yet been released, nor have details about what led up the collision.
