MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Local 10 News is actively covering a developing scene on Florida’s Turnpike, though the cause of the incident remains unclear as of Saturday evening.

One news crew is stationed in the Miami Gardens South area, while another is positioned outside Jackson North Medical Center. Traffic cameras show southbound exit of Interstate 95 and northbound lanes on the Turnpike are currently closed in the area.

Attempts to gather details from local emergency agencies have so far yielded little information.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue directed inquiries to local law enforcement. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, in turn, referred reporters to the Florida Highway Patrol.

No further information has been released at this time.
